Co-Lab on U Street is a new kind of co-working space. Designed by and for community organizers, Co-Lab is the place for movements to change the world.

Opening September 2026

Co-Lab on U Street is a hub for collaboration and convening in the historic U Street Corridor.

Co-Lab members join a values-aligned community doing the work of social change. Designed for serendipitous gatherings, our facilities highlight our building’s legacy of social justice work and the specific needs of community-based organizations and movement groups.

We provide spaces for meetings and convenings, studios for podcast recordings and larger productions, and training rooms for large and small groups.

Our lounges offer a comfortable alternative to a work-from-home setup, and our offices provide a secure base of operations for new businesses or remote teams.
